“ I stopped by D Roti Hut this morning for breakfast, and as always, the food did not disappoint. My aloo pie and corn soup were delicious! But what keeps me coming back is the exceptional customer service. Every member of the staff is warm and welcoming, and when I get to the register, Vee always makes me feel like I'm her favorite customer. That kind of genuine hospitality is hard to find these days. Of course, I couldn't leave without treating myself to some Cinnabon Carvel ice cream—and yes, I'll definitely be back for a snow cone soon! Great food will bring you in, but outstanding service is what keeps you coming back. D Roti Hut continues to deliver both. Highly recommend! ”
“ Another amazing meal at D Roti Hut! What a gem. We had Oxtail, roti, doubles with shrimp, mango curry, eggplant, and tomatoes. Everything was so flavorful and delicious. I am going to be dreaming about it until the next time. Euki, Sharola, and Anji were so kind and accommodating and helped explain what all the dishes were. An amazing spot worth a trek! ”
“ The food from D Roti Hut is AMAZING. If i could give the food and service a 20 out of 5, i would. First of all, Mike catered food for over 120 guests and we still had food left over. Our event was at flushing meadow park (he delivers!), and even after the location changed due to unforeseen circumstances, Mike followed us until we found a better spot and was so patient throughout the entire process. We talked through the menu over months of planning. Every dish was thoughtful - the mango chow mix was maybe the most delicious thing i've ever had. All guests were RAVING about the food and wanted all of his details so they can use him for future catering services. Mike was super responsive in the days leading up to the event by giving great tips and suggestions on things we might need (like to-go containers). If ever I need catered food, I will look no further. And his price was REASONABLE!! ”
“ I absolutely fell in love with this roti spot during my stay in Queens Village. Everything about it hit the mark — the flavor, the freshness, and that unmistakable feeling of food made with pride. The roti was hot, soft, and fluffy, generously filled, deeply seasoned, and incredibly satisfying. These are big, hearty roti's with bold flavor and perfectly balanced spices. I would confidently say "D Roti Hut" serves some of the best roti in the Tri-State area. This is the kind of roti you’d want served at weddings or special celebratory occasions — memorable, comforting, and made to impress. The staff are professional, friendly, and accommodating, with strong knowledge of the menu and genuine care for the food they serve. That hospitality makes the experience even better. D Roti Hut is the kind of place that turns a simple meal into a memory. I found myself thinking about it long after I left the area, which says everything. If you’re anywhere nearby, do yourself a favor and stop in. This place is special. Standout dishes: Stew Chicken & Channa (Chickpeas) topped with pepper and tamarind sauce, with dhalpuri roti on the side Doubles — perfectly cooked bara (not too yellow, not too pale) with great elasticity and richly flavored chickpeas, plus excellent house sauces (pepper, tamarind, cucumber chutney, shadow beni) Aloo Pies (potato), especially with added channa or curry shrimp, finished with pepper and tamarind sauce Curry Goat, Bake & Salt-fish, House-made Mango Chow, and house beverages — the sea moss drink is outstanding (not too thick, not too sweet) Shout out to Vee & staff for running such a well-operated & maintained restaurant. ”
“ Absolutely love ordering from here whenever I want a quick fix for Caribbean food when I don’t want to make at home. They always have freshly made meals and everything you can think of is here food wise. The food is always flavorful and made with love and the people working there are always kind and friendly towards customers going in. Highly recommended them anytime you feel the need to enjoy some good Trini/guyanese food in the queens village area!!!!! ”
